Graphic Design 3: Exhibition Magazine

For this project, I was tasked with designing the magazine cover, contents page, about page, and colophon for a publication curated by my former professor, Isabel Meirelles. The magazine is a collection of student work exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. My approach was to incorporate a pixelated effect into the cover image, reflecting themes of data visualization and digital representation. The overlaid text consists of the students’ names who contributed to the project, subtly embedding them into the visual language of the design. Alongside the cover, I designed two magazine spreads and a series of postcards as part of my project submission, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goal: Life on Land. I connected this theme to forest fire data in British Columbia, using visual storytelling to highlight the impact of climate change and human activity on forest ecosystems.
