Argyll

Argyll

Argyll

Argyll was made in a Typeface Design class, overseen by Richard Hunt, at OCAD University during my final semester. It was a gruelling and time consuming project that highlights my attention to detail and commitment to the project. The concept was inspired by historic Scotland and the Gaelic language, Argyll takes elements from uncial, medieval, and Art Nouveau forms using them in a contemporary context. Argyll is a connection to my lineage in the Argyll and Bute council in the Scottish Highlands. It is an exploration and appreciation of culture and the Gaelic speaking community. Moving forward, I plan to continue developing the entire typeface as well as using my knowledge in designing more typefaces.
