At Beaumont Mill Antiques & Collectibles, my role extends into a form of curating, storytelling and preservation of small histories. Although some aspects may seem unconventional within design, my work here has become a deeply formative part of my practice. Working within a space defined by history, I've learned how to approach design as a way of translating memory into experience.Within the space I design and curate displays that consider composition, material relationships and the resonance of objects in proximity. In addition to assisting with social media content, I have recently been building a rebrand and website build that feels fresh while maintaining our values of care, sense of place, connection and continuity. This way of work has allowed me to reshape what I interpret a design role to be, and has deepend my values of slowness, tactility and meaning behind creating.
